And I opened a joint account with my dad 2 hours ago.
I still cant open my own personal account yet.
One of the reason is because I'm still 17 haha.
The second reason is 18 years old only can get ATM card.
wtf.
Just ONE day difference to be 18 year old this year. (Note: my bday is 01.01.92)
It defeats the purpose of me having a savings account.
I'm going to sg to study and I need the ATM card for my own use.
So the account is useless if I dun hab the card to take the freaking money out (>_>)
So a Joint Account is made.

My dad wanted to make my Personal Account in HSBC at 1st..
Coz his accounts are all in HSBC. It makes transferring easier.
But then hor.. the uber brain-dead worker there hor..said something ridiculously STUPID.
DAD: "I wanna open an savings account for my daughter."
Brain-Dead Worker: "Oh joint account sir?"
DAD: "No. Her own Personal Account."
B-DW: "Okay. IC Please."
*Gives my IC to her*
B-DW: "Hmm..Do you have any secondary documents?"
DAD: "What secondary documents do you mean?"
B-DW: "Uh..Credit card statement? or Phone Bills? or any account statements."
ME+DAD: "WAD?"
DAD: "She doesnt have all of these. She's just 17!!and her phone is prepaid. What is the purpose of the documents?"
B-DW: "Oh, its our bank's policy to .....crap...blabla..."
DAD: "Okay. You see, I have all my accounts here. I can change them to other banks if I want. And the documents that u said earlier are unnecessary for opening a Bank Account and she doesn't have a credit card. Can I see ur Manager? Maybe he/she can give me a solution."
*10 minutes later...*
B-DW: "Uh okay can open the savings account. IC please. " *types stuff*
DAD: " okay. So can she get the ATM card by today?"
B-DW: " Sorry sir. 18 years old only can get ATM card."
